This was a German 2D animated commercial to promote Katjes’ range of vegan oatmilk chocolate. British illustrator Gerald Scarfe was one of the lead designers on the project, and we used his style as the guide for the overall look of the project.
As an animator I was responsible for bringing his illustrated images to life, ensuring the cows appeared emaciated and strained from their efforts. I also developed the final march animation, which reflects the tedious, tiresome lifestyles of the dairy cows.
